No More Training Certificates!

Updated: Sep 9, 2019

In January 2019, DOL implemented changes in how training hours are to be submitted.

Training certificates are no longer being accepted.

An online portal is now being used to log all required training hours. Schools and employers must be registered/re-registered as a training provider in order to input training hours into the portal. DOL is also requiring your training instructors to be registered. You will have to renew your registration(s) every 2 years.

Keep in mind, once you submit your registration form(s) it can take up to 10 days for DOL to process and approve. After you receive approval, DOL will send you the information on how to set up your account for the online portal.

How do you know if you are properly registered with DOL to provide training? A good indication will be whether or not you currently have access to their online portal.

If you don't have access to the online portal, you

need to re-register with DOL.

Visit the DOL website for more information on registering as a training provider and training instructor:

**DOL still requires you to call or email them to request approval to test with a third party examiner**
