If you already have a CDL and are wanting to upgrade

from a Class B to a Class A, or want to have a restriction removed from your current CDL, (such as the fifth wheel restriction or manual transmission) you must take the entire CDL Skills & Road Test again.  This means:

1) You will need to get a permit

2) Wait 14 days after getting your permit to take the test

There are now minimum training requirements being implemented by DOL for upgrades.  We will post these asap...Please check back for updates.

You will also need to request authorization to test with a third party examiner after your training is complete by calling or email DOL:

Your appointment cannot be finalized until DOL gives authorization in their system, so this step is very important.

You can still use our online booking page to schedule your appointment date and time with us.  Just make sure you pick a date that is 14 days past the date you get your permit.
