Entry-Level Driver Training
New regulations set by the FMCSA now require entry-level drivers who obtain their CLP (commercial license permit) on or after February 7, 2022 to successfully complete "Entry Level Driver Training" (ELDT) before being permitted to take their (commercial driver’s license) CDL skills tests. This training must be provided by a school or entity listed on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry.
WHO IS CONSIDERED AN ENTRY-LEVEL DRIVER?
Any individual wanting to:
Obtain a Class A CDL or Class B CDL for the first time.
Upgrade an existing Class B CDL to a Class A CDL.
Obtain a school bus (S), passenger (P), or hazardous materials (H) endorsement for the first time.
WE OFFER THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF TRAINING...
Entry-Level Driver Training
Theory and Behind-The-Wheel Instruction As required by the FMCSA
Online Theory Courses
These courses cover all of the FMCSA's required topics.
The courses are online and can be taken from any device, any place, anytime. All you have to do is login and complete each section with a minimum score of 80% on each test.
We keep track of your progress. Once completed, we submit the completion information into the Federal Registry.
(You must also complete the behind-the-wheel training before you can take your CDL Skills Test)
BTW training is performed on both range & public road: training includes vehicle inspection, backing & driving.
We provide one-on-one BTW training.
You will learn the skills needed to operate a commercial vehicle properly & safely. You must demontrate proficiency in all areas of the behind-the-wheel training before you can take your CDL Skills Test.
Once you have completed your training and we are confident that you are ready to test we will submit your final training information into the FMCSA Registry.
Test Prep Only Sessions
Includes Pre-Trip Inspection, Backing & Driving
Each session is 3 hours and is one-on-one, in person training, focusing on the areas you need the most help with.
You will also have access to our online videos and a copy of our study guide so you will have the proper verbiage for the pre-trip portion of your skills test.
We will evaluate your backing & driving skills & help prepare you for what will be expected of you when you take your skills test.
For Oregon residents: we offer full training sessions & we also offer test prep sessions.
For Washington residents: we currently only provide test prep sessions. Washington state requires 160 minimum training hours to be submitted by a WA DOL authorized training provider. We are working on becoming Washington approved, so keep checking back.
We provide training for companies (who are able to submit training hours into the WA DOL
online portal) who do not have the time or proper resources to train their employees
as required by the FMCSA's new guidelines.
If you only need the online theory training we can do that too.
We would love to help you obtain your CDL!
